As always, it’s been an eventful weekend for Kanye West.
According to Pitchfork, The rapper recently created an hour-long remix of The Life of Pablo‘s “Father Stretch My Hands Part 1,” a mix featured in a fashion show by long-time West collaborator, Virgil Abloh, who released his newest Off-White label line. While we’ll probably never get the opportunity to hear the full track, a somewhat abridged 40-minute version is now was uploaded to Soundcloud. Moving a glacial place, the mix featured distorted chords for almost 10 minutes, before other instrumental elements are introduced. Vocals are scattered throughout. Check out the haunting track below.
Kanye additionally has been sharing a whole new lineup of Yeezy merch at his The Life of Pablo pop-up shop. The event saw customized clothing created exclusively for the city with “Paris” labeled on the front of the apparel and different Kanye lyrics on the back side. Tracks such as “Freestyle 4,” “Waves,” and “Ultralight Beam” were included into the line.
The line was extended to a number of cities. As reported by
Complex, the rapper has designed clothes specifically for a number of other tour stops at, along with a few others canceled stops, such as Governors Ball in New York City. Items contain the city name, along with West’s quotes – including selections such as “Let me crash here for a moment” and the controversial “I made that bitch famous” printed in blackletter font.
Not surprisingly, the hour-long remix was
not the most shocking thing Kanye did over the weekend. The rapper debuted the video to his Pablo track “Famous” complete with a bed full of naked celebrities in a Last Supper-esque arrangement. The song and video have left celebrities such as
Taylor Swift and
Lena Dunham appalled.
