The extreme metal band, Skeletonwitch, has just released a new song entitled “Red Death, White Light.” This is the band’s first release since their album Serpents Unleashed which was released in 2013.
The song stands at just over seven minutes long, and it is full of energy. It’s brash, loud and unapologetic. The guitar riffs are strong but just as well, beautifully melodic.
This song also welcomes in the band’s new singer. Their original singer, Chance Garnette, left the band citing personal reasons. It was later revealed that Garnette suffered from alcohol issues and left the band to treat the illness.
After Garnette’s departure, the band replaced him with Adam Clemens of Wolvhammer. Clemans fits perfectly into the mix, and his voice works great with Skeletonwitch’s sound.
“Red Death, White Light” comes from Skeletonwitch’s forthcoming EP, The Apothic Gloom. The new EP is set to be released later this summer on August 19th via Prosthetic Records. The EP is already available for pre-sale and a purchase of the digital album comes with a free download of “Red Death, White Light.”
