Kristian Matsson, otherwise known under his stage name The Tallest Man on Earth, has released a new song entitled “Time of the Blue.”
The new song premiered on NPR’s All Song’s Considered. In fact, the new song is The Tallest Man on Earth’s first new material since his 2015 album Dark Bird is Home.
“Time of the Blue” is quiet and simple. There isn’t a lot of frill to the song, but that does not detract from the song’s beauty.
The song’s stripped-down nature is reminiscent of his 2010 EP Sometimes the Blues Is Just a Passing Bird. With only vocals and guitar, “Time of the Blue” is a great indie folk rock song to act as a relaxing escape in the midst of upbeat summer songs.
The Tallest Man on Earth is the stage name of Kristian Matsson, a singer-songwriter from Dalarna, Sweden. Initially he played with the band Montezumas before starting his own solo career in 2006 with his debut self-titled EP.
Since then, he has released four studio albums and an additional EP. He’s gained the attention of many music critics and fans alike. Currently The Tallest Man on Earth is on tour, performing shows across North America and parts of Europe.
