MANA @ American Airlines Arena 10/29

Mana is bringing great Latin rock to the American Airlines Arena on Saturday October 29th. Their music has been critically acclaimed not just in Latin America, but throughout the world and Miami is the perfect place to bring their music.

Mana is a Mexican rock band that was formed in 1986 and has been releasing music ever since with their most recent album being released in 2015. Their style is rock but with influence from a myriad of other genres, particularly those found in Latin America and the Caribbean. Their music takes influence from sources such as reggae, ska and calypso to name a few. This fusion of styles gives Mana a very versatile sound that accommodates many different kinds of songs. Some good songs of their’s that you can listen to below include “Oye Mi Amor’ from their 1992 album and “Iluvia Al Corazon” from their 2011 album.

The American Airlines Arena is the only arena in Miami that could accommodate a band with as much experience and artistry as this. The Mana show should be great for fans not only of Latin rock, but for people who want to hear a fusion of different genres. I like their vibe and I think you will to if you are looking for some music that can be groovy and chill, yet also guitar solo filled and exhilarating.

Henry Ehlebracht: I am an NYU student from Miami who loves writing. I am a dual major in Philosophy and Journalism and I'd love to share my thoughts on music with you. My two favorite music genres are definitely hip hop and electronic/dance, but I'm really open to anything that piques my interest. I'm currently in New York for school. Electronic album reviewer for MXDWN. Although I write about music for the website, my media interests stretch into many areas including movies and video games.
