DJ Shadow has released another new song from his upcoming album The Mountain Will Fall, titled “Bergschrund.”
The song, which is described as, “a glitchy yet groove-filled number,” will feature Nils Frahm. Frahm is an accomplished composer and producer, and is known for his unconventional music approach. He began to gain more recognition because of his piano playing skills.
The Mountain Will Fall will be released June 24th via Mass Appeal Records. The 12-track album will feature special guests including Nils Frahm, Run the Jewels, Ernie Fresh, and a number of other artists. DJ Shadow explained his collaboration choices. “I didn’t want to have to convince anybody that it was worth their time to be on my records.” He also stated he didn’t want this album to feature one popular rapper after another.
Along with the upcoming release of his new album, DJ Shadow has a North American tour lined up for the fall. The tour dates include:
