LISTEN: The Raveonettes Release New Song “Scout”

The Danish indie rockers, The Raveonettes, have released a new song entitled “Scout.” In addition, the song comes along with a lyric video as well.

The song is a part of The Raveonettes’ project Rave-Sound-of-the-Month in which the band plans to release a new song every month during the year of 2016. Thus, by the end of the year, the band will have a full album set of songs.

It is a really cool and unique initiative on the band’s part, and it has proved to be an exciting journey to track. So far the band has already released several songs as part of the project including, “Excuses” and “Junko Ozawa.”

This month, the band released the song “Scout.” The song follows the reverb-heavy sound of their recent releases, but holds a softer indie rock sound to it as well. The song holds influences of other experimental indie rock bands such as Neon Indian and post-punk bands such as The Kills.

The Raveonettes hail from Copenhagen, Denmark and are comprised of singer Sune Rose Wagner and guitarist Sharin Foo. The band was formed in 2001, and released their first album in 2003. So far the band has released a total of seven albums and the band is set to release several more songs along the rest of the year.

Take a listen to the track below.
