Power trio, RLYR, has just released a new, hard-hitting single entitled “Reconductor.”
The song hits just over 8 minutes long, and rides along hills and bumps of heavy guitars and drums. Though 8-minutes might be long for a song in this music era, “Reconductor” manages to be fresh, exciting and extremely intriguing.
There is never a dull moment in the entire course of the song. It starts off with loud and buzzing guitar strums, and by the end the same killer guitar strums are joined by an exciting concert of drums and bass until it ends with one last great strum.

The song comes from RLYR’s forthcoming debut album, Delayer which is set to be released on June 17th, 2016 on Magic Bullet Records. So far two singles have been released from the album, including “Slipstream Summer” and the newly released “Reconductor.” The band’s debut album is available for pre-order here.
RLYR, pronounced “relayer,” is a supergroup hailing from Chicago. The band is made up of Steven Hess from Locrian, Colin DeKupier of Bloodiest, and Trevor Shelley de Brauw of the band Pelican. The trio does mainly instrumental rock music, and so far the material they have released has been insanely wicked and good.
Though this will be the band’s first album to be released, the band member’s previous work shows that they aren’t rookies. In addition, the band has already started touring in support of their new material. This summer, RLYR, is set to play with New York City screamo group, United Nations.
