The Stone Roses were formed in 1983 and are best known as one of the pioneering sounds of the Manchester movement during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Although there were slight lineup changes over the years, the bands most successful lineup consisted of vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani, and drummer Reni. The Stone Roses debut album came in their self titled release back in ’89. Then came the band’s second release, Second Coming which, unlike their highly successful debut, met with lackluster critic reviews. This release sparked several line up changes which would eventually result in the band’s disbandment. It wasn’t until 2011 that the band would come back together for a reunion tour and they have been together ever since.
