Japanese rock trio, Boris, revealed their 10th anniversary Pink album deluxe reissue. This reissue has given fans the opportunity to hear an unreleased song called “Are You Ready?”
The song begins with a mesmerizing guitar solo, riff included, before the enticing drum beat sets in. Quickly following are the lyrics and the lead singers surprisingly calm, soothing voice. The song allows the listener to get drawn in, and lose themselves for a few moments.
Half-way through the song, the singer begins to slowly fade into the instruments. This now presents the opportunity to blow the listener away with the sounds of a continuously upbeat rhythm. As the song draws closer to the end, the singer begins to fade in and out a bit more. This leaves the listener to wonder if they will get one more chance to hear one more verse of stimulating lyrics.Despite the description of shredders and metal band, the song experience is not overbearing. A first-time listener will not be bombarded with constant screaming, or the usual hardcore metal sound.
The deluxe 3xLP box set and 2xCD will feature a nine-track album of songs that had been unlreleased. This album titled Forbidden Songs, feature songs that had been recorded from 2004-2005 during the Pink album sessions. Along with a reissue of their album, and the release of numerous formerly unreleased songs, Boris has also announced they will be going on tour.
