Tobacco has announced a new solo LP set to be released on August 19th. Sweatbox Dynasty will be Tobacco’s fourth full-length release.
The artist has collaborated with multiple artist over the years but this project was put together completely by Tobacco, according to Exclaim. He reportedly started working on this LP following the release of Ultima II Massage, in 2014.
“I felt I’d done everything I set out to do,” he said in a statement. “I thought maybe I’d go away for a long time, and I went a year without even plugging anything in.”
Tobacco committed each track to cassette before transferring it to a sampler, as he did with his earlier work.
“I do know how to ruin a good song,” Tobacco adds. “I just gotta keep pushing to find new places to go.”
With the announcement of a new album comes new tour dates as well. Tobacco will tour through North America in support of the new album in late September through October.
