Zedd and Kesha have released a new song together called “True Colors”. The track was written and created by Zedd, and recently vocalized by Kesha.
Zedd had originally released the song on his 2015 album also titled True Colors. Once Kesha heard it, she felt so connected to the song that she wanted to be involved somehow.
After years of battling with her alleged abuser Dr Luke, Kesha has lost the ability to release music on her own for the time being. In the midst of this, her supporters have come to her aid–including EDM artist Zedd.
Kesha has expressed her feelings of empowerment and support from Zedd through social media. “It’s a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again with no reason other than that he is a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold,” Kesha wrote on Instagram
After getting permission by Kemosabe / RCA, (parent company of her label and producer Dr. Luke) the two released the beautiful collaboration.
“As artists, the need to create and share our music is what drives us. “True Colors” is an extremely meaningful song to me and when I learned the song also spoke to Kesha it became even more special and took on new meaning. We went into the studio to reimagine “True Colors” together and I’m unbelievably excited to share this emotional collaboration with the world.

The two were able to perform the song at Coachella two weeks ago that was quite powerful.
