Aesop Rock’s new album The Impossible Kid is set to be released this Friday. Today, he’s streaming the album in it’s entirety.

This isn’t your typical album stream. Directed by Rob Shaw, The Impossible Kid is a shot-for-shot remake of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining.

Leading up to the release of the album, the rapper has released “Rings,” “Blood Sandwich,” “Lazy Eye,” and four therapy sessions with a cartoon bear.

The Impossible Kid is Aesop Rock’s seventh studio record and his first in nearly four years. After a long hiatus following his latest release, Rock has been very active lately, working on a four part series with Funny Or Die to talk about his inspirations and the process of making the album.

Rock self-produced the new album, and it has no guests. Instead, it’s a more personal and controversial.

According to Pitchfork,  Aesop Rock will go on tour with Rob Sonic and Homeboy Sandman in support of the new album.
