Tegan and Sara will hit the road this fall for a North American tour in support of their upcoming album, Love You To Death. The duo will make 40 stops, beginning in Saskatchewan. The band promised to release more stops across the pond in London and Australia. Tickets will be available April 29 through the band’s website.
According to Rolling Stone, The sisters had previously announced international dates in July along with a small handful of dates in Los Angeles and New York City, before the official release of Love You to Death on June 3.
The duo has undergone a major transformation in the sound and style; they emerged in the aughts as an indie-folk stalwart, but have more recently shifted to a pop sound. 2013 album Heartthrob gave the band a Top 40 hit with “Closer.” They were also featured on the Lego Movie Soundtrack with ultra-happy pop single “Everything Is Awesome.” They then went on tour with the likes of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
Their new album is a continuation of this evolution. They have two singles from the upcoming album – “U-Turn” and “Boyfriend.”
