Indie rock band Islands has recently released two new songs: “No Milk, No Sugar” and “Fear.” The band is planning to release two albums simultaneously next month, so they are releasing two singles at a time accordingly. “No Milk, No Sugar” comes off their first upcoming album, Taste, while “Fear” will be on their second upcoming album, Should I Remain Here, At Sea? Both albums are set to be released on May 13th.
The band has explained that Taste and Should I Remain Here, At Sea? will both be two very different albums, the first one having more of an electronic sound and the second one with a more pop-rock feel. Both albums will be availably digitally on limited edition vinyl and will also be available to pre-order via Pledge Music, which will include an exclusive mini bonus EP. Pledge Music store will also offer other items that will not be found anywhere else.
Islands originated in Montreal, Quebec in Canada, but they now reside in Los Angeles, California. The band has released five studio albums so far since their career started around 2005. Ski Mask, released in 2013, was their most recent album, so Taste and Should I Remain Here, At Sea? will be their sixth and seventh albums. The band has stated that Should I Remain Here, At Sea? is a spiritual successor to their debut album, Return to the Sea, while Taste focuses more on an electronic sound.
