4Knots music festival has just announced the lineup for their 2016 event.
Returning for its sixth annual event, the 4Knots music festival will feature several great performers including Girlpool, Guided by Voices, Car Seat Headrest and Protomartyr.
The 4Knots music festival will be held in New York City’s South Street Seaport on July 9th, 2016. It will be held across two stages. The festival’s location is nestled into one of New York City’s historic districts, and thus making the festival a perfect mixture of old and new.
The music festival is entirely free to the public, making it an especially exciting music festival to attend. The festival will run from 1PM – 8PM, rain or shine, and it will be open to people of all ages.
4Knots is a part of The Village Voice, who has conducted several free music festivals throughout the years. This will be 4Knots’ sixth year to date. As 4Knots describes on its website, the music festival receives its name from the Seaport’s long and wholesome history meaning “the speed of the waves as they meet at the Seaport in New York’s East River”.
Though the festival does not have an extensive lineup like most other music festivals, it is still definitely an event not to be missed. The small lineup will include acts of varying genres, giving everyone something to enjoy. In addition, the free admission is also reason enough to attend and have a good time.
