Ryan Adams Announces Deluxe Edition Of His Debut Album Heartbreaker For May 2016 Release

Ryan Adams has announced that he will re-release his Debut album “Heartbreaker” on May 6th via Paxam Records and distributed by Caroline Records and Universal Music.

The album was originally released in September 2000 and will be re-released on 180gm 4LP/DVD and 2CD/DVD Deluxe Editions as well as a digital release of the thirty-five (you read that right!) songs featured on the edition. The tracks will be reproduced from the original tapes and come in several different options. The primary option will be a fifteen track album box set with demos and unreleased music from the band. It will include a DVD of uncovered footage from an October 2000 solo acoustic show at Mercury Lounge in New York City. Finally there will be a special edition booklet with glossy rare and unseen photos and notes from their producer Ethan Johns.

The album was originally recorded at Woodland Studios in Nashville during the span of a fourteen day period. The members included: Ryan Adams (guitar, vocals, piano, harmonica) Ethan Johns (bass, drums, bluegrass stalwarts) Dave Rawlings (guitar and backing vocals) Gillian Welch (guitars and backing vocals) and finally Pat Sansone (keyboard) making a full sound that is set apart from most bands.

Ryan plans to perform live this summer at the Central Park SummerStage in New York City on July 20th.
