Kanye West performed his first live show of the year in the Philippines at the Paradise International Music Festival on April 9th. At the show he debuted a new song as well as performing “Pop Style,” his recent collaboration with Drake, for the first time.
The video above was recorded by a fan at the concert. The lyrics sang, “if that means I gotta be like what everyone else be like/ I don’t want to be liked. Later he added, “most artists aren’t appreciated in their own time/ So the more I’m disliked, the better I must be doing.” After the freestyle he went into “Runaway.”
West then performed “Pop Style” the single set to come off Drake’s upcoming Views From the 6, later this month. The song features Drake, Jay-Z, and Kanye.
Along with being West’s first live show of the year, it was his first show performing songs from The Life of Pablo. The album broke records by being the second-largest streaming sum, just behind Justin Bieber’s Purpose, according to Billboard.
West also took to Twitter to announce he will officially go on tour in support of Pablo. No word yet on when he plans on going on tour or where, but odds are you’ll hear it on Twitter first.
