The world’s only gourmet music festival Outside Lands is coming up this summer, set for August 5th-7th in San Francisco, CA at the historic Golden Gate Park. This will be the festival’s 9th year running and often sells out immediately when tickets go on sale. Radiohead, who was actually the first musical act to play at the festival after dark, will be headlining the festival as well as LCD Soundsystem and Lana del Rey. All three of these artists will also be at Lollapalooza this summer. Since its birth in 2008, the Outside Lands festival has raised millions of dollars to benefit the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. This festival is unique, phenomenal, and truly a good cause – you don’t want to miss it.
Well-known English rock band Radiohead will, of course, be in attendance at this year’s festival. As of now, Radiohead is preparing to go on a summer tour starting in May, making their appearance at Outside Lands, and ending sometime in October. These will be the band’s first live shows since 2012. After announcing this world tour, Radiohead then announced the creation of new company, Dawnnchoruss Ltd, to confirm the release of their upcoming, highly anticipated album. This will be the band’s ninth studio album since their formation in 1985.
LCD Soundsystem, a rock band from NYC, have also recently announced tour dates for this summer. It is expected that more festival dates will be announced later as well. Their world tour kicks off in just few days and will, as of now, end in September. So far, the band has three studio albums released, though they have a new one anticipated for release sometime this year. The album’s title is currently not announced, but the band was still working on it as of January.
American singer-songwriter Lana del Rey has been busy these past few years with creating new music. Almost every year since gaining fame around 2010, the artist has released a new album just about every year. Her second album, Born To Die, really drew her to fame. Lana del Rey’s latest release, Honeymoon, was last year with great success. Back in February, she released the video for her song “Freak” off Honeymoon. It featured John Tilman (Father John Misty).
