Surgical Meth Machine has just released a new video for their single “I’m Invisible”. In the video they have created a personal twist by adding some of what is said to be personal videos of a trip to Las Vegas with intermittent cuts of footage of the band playing the track live.
When speaking about the song, frontman Al Jourgesen said: “Hello folks, thought y’all might like to see some home videos of my last Las Vegas vacation. WARNING: do not attempt to view this unless sufficiently high!”
The track was released as a little taste of what is yet to come in only a couple of weeks. The self titled album: Surgical Meth Machines will be released on the 18th of this month via Nuclear Blast Records. Those who pre-order the album can receive a special neon pink edition of the vinyl.
In an interview last fall with Jourgensen about getting back into music and investing in this project specifically Jourgensen shared about what this album is and what it is not: “I understand it’s not a real commercial project for us, it’s not gonna put bank in my wallet, but it was a lot of fun to do, in that sense – of just not having the constraints of the expectations of what you’ve done for twenty years. So this is… It’s kind of new stuff. It’s pretty cool. It sounds like kind of MINISTRY, but it’s a different level. It’s like I literally just put my foot on the gas pedal for this record.”
It’s also a very important project and album, as they are his first since the death of his fellow band member Mikey Scaccia of Ministry.
