On May 14th, the 2016 NYC Black N’ Blue Bowl will be held at Webster Hall and will feature renowned Boston hardcore band, American Nightmare.
Each year, the Black N’ Blue Bowl is arguably one of New York City’s biggest hardcore events of the year. Run by Black N’ Blue Productions, a small DIY booking company run out of NYC, the annual festival never seems to fail when it comes to bringing NYC hardcore fans with a stacked show. Last year, the Black N’ Blue Bowl hosted some of the biggest names in hardcore including The Rival Mob, Turnstile, Sick of It All and Suburban Scum.
Formerly known as Give Up The Ghost, American Nightmare announced that they would be headlining this year’s Black N’ Blue Bowl last week. Known for their devout, cult-like following, the annual hardcore festival couldn’t have had a more exciting addition. The band split up abruptly in 2004 and announced their reunion in 2011. Although it is has been 5-years since their reformation, this will only be their third time the band has come to perform in New York City since.
If you’re not sold yet, you have to check out the rest of the line-up. Also performing at this year’s Black N’ Blue Bowl will be 1980’s punk rock band, Adolescents, and New York City hardcore band, Madball.
If you want to catch the biggest hardcore festival in NYC, don’t hold off. Just like every year, this is at risk of selling out fast. You can pick up your tickets now for $40 on Webster Hall’s website.
