Hip hop artist and rapper, Antwon, has just released a new track, entitled “100k.”
The single comes from his forthcoming, five-song EP Double Ecstasy. The track was produced by Lars Stalfors who has worked with HEALTH, White Lung and Cold War Kids.
The track is chill and the beats are slick. The production work is great and it flows nicely over the lyrics. It edges over an alternative, underground sound, but has elements of mainstream hip-hop in it as well. Though this song is much more hip-hop oriented than much of the rest of his music.
Antwon is the stage name of Antonio Williams, born in Key West, Florida and raised and based out of San Jose, California. He is a fairly new artist, with a few compilation albums and singles released in 2011. His debut studio album Heavy Hearted in Doldrums, was released in 2014 and was met with favorable reviews.
In fact, Antwon has been lauded by Complex Magazine several times as a rapper to look out for in the future.
Antwon has also worked with various other musicians in the meantime. Just last year in 2015, he was featured in Crookers‘ new album.
