Maverick Music Festival Announces 2016 Lineup Featuring Flaming Lips, Public Enemy And The Drums

Maverick Music Festival in San Antonio, Texas has just announced their lineup for 2016. This year’s lineup includes iconic headliners such as the American psychedelic rock group Flaming Lips, indie Brooklyn rock group The Drums, and American hip hop group Public Enemy.

The two day festival will take place between April 8th and 9th 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. The festival will take place across three stages, located in the historic Maverick Plaza in La Villita Historic Arts Village.

Tickets for the festival range from $39 to $169 plus fees. Single day general admission tickets for the Friday show are $39, and $44 for the Saturday show. Two-day general admission passes are $74. This year’s lineup includes over 40 international and local acts. American psychedelic rock stars Flaming Lips will be making a stop at the festival for their fairly short Spring 2016 tour. In addition, much anticipated acts like Public Enemy, The Drums, The Church, Young Fathers, and Wild Child will be performing.

The Maverick Music Festival is a fresh and fairly new festival. Its first event was held in 2013 and had headliners Gary Clark Jr, The Toadies, and Girl in a Coma. Since then, the festival has expanded significantly, and more and more people are eagerly flocking to the festival. It aims to revitalize La Villita by instilling it with new and youthful energy.
