Coming to Brooklyn this April 18th at Shea Stadium is a night with New York City’s Jeffery Lewis & Los Bolt alongside DIY folk punk band, Captain Chaos.
Hailing all the way from Indiana, Captain Chaos (aka Chris Clavin) has given a new name to DIY punk that embodies all of the proper attitudes, images and sounds that comes with a punk rocker with an acoustic guitar. With nothing but a voice, acoustic guitar, clothes on his back and whatever friends happen to be around, Clavin has been coming out with music as Captain Chaos for over ten years. With an entire discography on his bandcamp, Captain Chaos has appeared on splits, compilations and live records with other folk punk combinations including Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Ghost Mice (his other band) and Andrew Jackson Jihad.
New York City’s Jeffery Lewis and Los Bolts was formed over 15-years ago and have appeared under a variety of different names and aliases over the years. The folk rockers just dished out their newest record, Manhattan, last year which is a smooth listen for all punk rockers, jam band junkies and all of the rest of God’s children. Check out Back to Manhattan which was featured on the album.
