WATCH: POS Release New Video For “sleepdrone/superposition”

“I wrangled everyone else,” says P.O.S. in his lyrics to his new single “sleepdrone/superposition.” P.O.S. was the Doomtree founder who released his newest single following his kidney transplant. The single is nearly nine minutes long and includes voices of musicians Lizzo, Astronautalis, Allan Kingdom, P.O.S.’ son Hard_r, and Kathleen Hanna from Bikini Kill. P.O.S. had other musicians included into the workings of the music video. “Mike Eagle, Serengeti, Sophia Eris and Monty Boston. All of those people killed it, but getting this song to flow right was key. I expect to work with all of those people again,” P.O.S. said. P.O.S. had a lot of people help him with the dream sequence, but for some of the sequences, majority of the singing was cut to meet the flow and precision of the musical track.

P.O.S.’s video for his single was a collaborative directing effort through P.O.S. and James Gundersen. The video ends with the blurriness of a color sequence like the sensation of being struck with knockout gas. The video was about his times during and after the kidney transplant. It was his outlook on life and the new adventures the musician can begin to take. The video is black and white, the rapper is seen performing his piece hidden with the dark shadows of the lighting, and then there was nothing. It is the perfect video to express the pain and long ended suffering of his kidney transplant.

P.O.S. is planning a new album to follow up with his album, We Don’t Even Live Here, which was released back in 2012.
