Hans-Peter Lindstrøm is making a comeback with his single “Closing Shot.” The album title is still unknown, but he has been working on the music. The upcoming EP will be released July of this year.
The single follows the classic sound of Lindstrøm. The music is vibrating and pulsing. Much like the other long and dynamic compositions, this piece is something almost neoclassical in the sense of being classic to the musician and neo, or new, to the way in which he introduces the newest form of his classical roots. The wonderful aspect of the piece is to provide a new frame of reflection into how the musician would perform and compose his music for those dance floor grooves that get people off the couches and onto the dance floor.
“Closing Shot” is like the warm air of Spring that is striking the Eastern Coast. It’s sun-tinted, with a hint of warm and summer weather, and leaves the person begging for more of these glorious days and moments under the warmth of the outdoors. The song plays for a little over eight minutes, but it feels like hours. If anyone has ever been outside in the summer, the only thing that would keep you from staying outside would be bipolar weather, basically a lot of rain and no sunshine.
