Margaret Morris Of Heroes Are Gang Leaders Disputes Sexual Harassment Allegations From Larkin Grimm

As an ex-band-mate of Heroes Are Gang Leaders, Larkin Grimm has left a big impression on the current members of the band. For the first time since the accusation has come to light, HAGL made a public statement on Facebook regarding the matter. Morris said that through working with Larkin she has seen her accuse three other band members of sexual abuse and has admitted to purposefully playing tricks on other people. This leads Morris and members to believe that this is likely another one of Larkins lies. Read Morris’ full statement below.

Singer/Songwriter Larkin Grimm had also accused Michael Gira from the band Swans,  of allegedly raping her during the time that they spent producing her album Parplar in 2008. Grimm was recording with Gira’s label Young God Records until they split ways for unclear personal reasons.

There have been several statements from Gira as well. When the allegations first began he posted an article from 2012 that contained an interview with Larkin Grim. One of the questions read as follows:

JM: Your 2008 album Parplar was co-produced by Michael Gira and released on his label. What was it like working with him?
LG: Totally magical and wonderful. I love that guy. We parted ways for good reasons but it was an experience that changed my life for the better. Mr. Gira is a very inspiring man. He is also a truly good, kindhearted person. Not everybody realizes that about him because his music is so intense. I think I could work in the studio with that guy forever and be happy. But our lives outside the studio really clash.

Meanwhile Larkin continues to tweet updates on her reactions and feelings around the statement. One of her tweets included a new song that she wrote to support survivors of abuse. Another most recent tweet remarked on her feelings of betrayel from ex-band- member Margaret Morris.
