Have you seen or have you heard? The legendary British rock band, The Stone Roses, recently announced that they will be performing at Madison Square Garden on June 30th in what will be their only United States appearance.
It really doesn’t come as a surprise that only North American appearance by one of the greatest rock bands of all time, The Stone Roses, will be taking place in the greatest city in the world, New York City, at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. The band released their debut album, The Stone Roses, in 1989 and is considered one of the greatest rock albums of all time among critics. The record is a combination of the newly discovered punk rock, 80’s new wave and a touch of the 1960’s British Invasion rolled into one Rock n’ Roll masterpiece.
The band announced their return late last year and have also announced shows in Manchester, Dublin and Tokyo. In addition to their live return, there are rumors that The Stone Roses will be releasing a new EP as early as this Friday. The rumors began buzzing around the internet after journalist from the Guardian, Ben Green, tweeted “SR040316” and deleted it shortly after.
