ILoveMakonnen has just announced that he will be releasing a new album– the 6th part to his project Drink More Water on March 18th of this year via Warner Bros. Records. It will be called Drink More Water 6 reported Spin.
Just over a year and a half ago, ILoveMakonnen released the album that got him discovered for his “easygoing delivery and drugged out beats” said All Music. Originally a hip-hop producer from Atlanta Georgia, I Love Makonnen self-released a self-titled album in July of 2014. Two stars that noticed him first include Miley Cyrus who promoted him on social media via Twitter and Drake who collaborated with him to make a a remix of his song Club Goin’ Up on a Tuesday” that eventually became nominated for 2014’s Grammy Award for best rap/sung collaborative award.
ILoveMakonnen is back in full swing, with a complete album, back to drug dealing (according to his new single below) and back to a leaner more muscular figure. Within the past year Makonnen lost a significant amount of weight and replaced a good portion of it with Muscle mass. He told The Fader in response to a question about what made him want to get in shape: “Just put that time into yourself. That’s all it takes.”
To start the excitement for this album, IloveMakonnen released the video for his single “Sellin” on youtube. The single is also available on iTunes.
