Jack Tatum is the mastermind behind dream-pop band Wild Nothing, meaning, all songs are written and composed by Tatum. Most musicians don’t have the willpower to do all the work and recording by themselves. Only a select few like of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker possess the skills. Wild Nothing is touring to promote his third album Life of Pause which released February 19th. Music journalists at its best, Pitchfork, loved Wild Nothing’s past two albums, awarding both with an above an 8/10 rating. His sophomore album Nocturne reached Billboard’s Top Heatseekers list at number one. Let’s hope Tatum still has the potential within him to keep making critically acclaimed music. Tatum comments on his new release, “I view every record as an opportunity to write better songs. At the end of the day, it still sounds like me, just new.”
