The three-day NorthSide Festival unveiled the lineup for the summer showcase, highlighting the legendary rocker Iggy Pop, Sacramento’s own Deftones, experimental alternative rock band Puscifer, and the electronica wizard Jamie xx. According to the Consequence of Sound, the commercial festival unleashes on June 17 in Denmark and closes three days later on June 19.
In three years, NorthSide has expanded from a one-day event to a sold out three-day fest celebrating rock, pop, hip hop, indie, synthpop, alternative rock, and electronic music. Since its inception in 2010, the music festival has focused on innovation and involvement, as well as its core value of sustainability. NorthSide aims to accept the challenge of developing festival sustainability by emphasizing environmental considerations in transportation, ecology, and advertisement.
The seventh annual NorthSide Festival launches in the river valley of Aarhus, Denmark. Alongside new, edgy, and innovative electronica acts, the highly anticipated danish fest also features international artists like the dream pop band Beach House, Daphni’s techno alter ego Caribou, and the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Ros. Tickets are available on the official website.
