Poliça has just released a third track, “Lately,” off of their yet to be released album, United Crushers.

It won’t be until a month from now that Poliça’s third studio album, United Crushers, gets released but they have started with couple track releases until that time comes. With two of the tracks already released, they have just released their third teaser track “Lately.” The track follows an enchanting musical accompaniment while Channy Leaneagh leads through a journey with her dream like vocal talent. The theme of the new track is what the front women’s ideal relationship has become through her experiences in life. According to Consequence of Sound Leaneagh had this to say about the new track, “Don’t let love become a distraction,” she said in a statement. “I want to be moved by my lover but not put in a lethargic state of apathy for doing anything else but be with another person. Love is a place where we make each other better and inspire each other to make cool shit.” The track can be streamed below.

United Crushers has a set due date of March 4 and if the rest of the album is anything like the three tracks they have released, this is going to be one powerful album. According to an announcement on the band’s website, the new album will include subject matters that is “heavily political and deeply personal with thick references to social injustice, self-doubt and isolation, the rapidly increasing urban decline in gentrification, overcoming music industry machinations, and finding true and honest love in the wake of it all.”

The Minneapolis alum are an American synthpop and alternative rock band that were founded in 2011 by Leaneagh and Ryan Olson. With many attempts at a clear cut genre label, Poliça have taken the stage with very unique sound. Poliça are easily one of the rising stars of this decade of music.

In support of the new record, the band has extended their already expansive 2016 tour in order to include some fall dates across Europe. For a full list of tour dates and all ticketing information see below.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
