Last month, David Bowie passed away on his birthday. Now a Bowie tribute concert will be including more musicians to the lineup. The Bowie tribute shows will take place in New York City at Carnegie Hall and Radio City and will included additional acts from Blondie and The Pixies. The Wilson sisters from the band Heart will also be performing at the tribute shows. The lineup has already scheduled bands and musicians: Micael Stipe, Laurie Anderson, Cat Power, Perry Farrell, The Polyphonic Spree, and The Roots.

For the Carnegie Hall showing, it is the entire cast of Blondie that will perform. Debbie Harry, the band’s singer will be the only one performing at the Radio City showing. The additional bands include: Mumford & Sons, The Polyphonic Spree, and the Donny McCaslin Group. These bands will only be performing at the Radio City showing. Both tribute concerts have been sold out.

Carnegie Hall’s Bowie tribute concert will take place March 31. The Radio City Bowie tribute concert will take place April 1. Musician Amanda Palmer and music partner Jherek Bischoff from the Amanda Palmer trio recently released an EP of covered Bowie songs that include featured musicians Anna Calvi, Neil Gaiman and John Cameron Mitchell. The Donny McCaslin Group will feature the Blackstar contributors Mark Guiliana, Jason Lindner, and Tony Visconti in their performance during the concert.
