“Here I am with my most unguarded, direct, relatable album to date. Go easy on me,” says singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird. His thirteenth album is releasing on April 1st and will tour to promote the album titled Are You Serious. If you’re not familiar with Andrew Bird’s work, he is an indie-folk musician most known as a singer and violin player but also is proficient in the guitar, mandolin, glockenspiel, xylophone, and various instruments. Are You Serious will feature Fiona Apple and Blake Mills on the album. The album is the second record to be produced by Tony Berg, who also worked on Bird with his breakthrough album The Mysterious Production of Eggs. Bird’s next album is sure to be amazing with Berg on board and other collaborators on the record.
Earlier this month, Bird performed on Conan and sang his new song Capsized. Listen below to the single and sing along with the lyrics in the video.
