Seattle native punk band, Tacocat, have recorded the theme song for the upcoming Powerpuff Girls reboot on Cartoon Network. The show won’t premiere until later this year but the song is available to listen to now.
The theme song gives the show a fresh new take, which is exactly what’s happening. The show originally aired from 1998 to 2005 on Cartoon Network. Powerpuff Girls will debut later this year with three new voice actors and a new executive producer.
Tacocat is also gearing up for the release of their third studio album, Lost Time, set to be released on April 1st. They released a song off the LP recently called, “Talk.” The song can be heard below.
The band is also set to tour this Spring in support of their upcoming new album.
Tacocat was recently featured in a video for Upset’s “Away.” featuring Colleen Green and Chastity Belt.
