Beyonce’s takeover of New York City has officially been extended. The larger than life super star announced last week that a second date will be added at Citi Field on June 8th to The World Formation Tour.
The pre-sale for Beyonce’s performance at Citi Field on June 7th began on Feb. 9 and sold out shortly after tickets were made available online. Learning that tickets had sold out came as no surprise to anyone and fortunately for fans, Beyonce planned ahead. In the initial announcement of Beyonce’s Formation World Tour, the dates immediately following June 7th had been left empty to accommodate the overwhelmingly high demand for tickets.
So for all the worried fans out there, try to stay calm. Beyonce’s got your back. In addition to the tour announcement that has fans jumping out of their skin, Beyonce has also released her first new song since 2014, Formation, which she also performed during her controversial Halftime Show performance at Super Bowl 50.
