Chick bands? Hell yes. Meet Savages, a London rock band formed in 2011 taking over the Fillmore in April. Savages released a triumphant debut album Silence Yourself reaching the 19th spot on the top UK album charts and was awarded Best New Music by Pitchfork. The second album released a month ago titled Adore Life also made it to the UK charts at the 26th spot and received excellent reviews. With lead singer Jehnny Beth’s powerful vocals and the band’s epic style, Savages prove that women can make it in the competitive music industry.
