UPDATE: SUNN O))) confirmed a new run of shows taking the metal band through Southwestern and West Coast states in early May. In June, the group will perform in St. Louis, Chicago, Cleveland, and Detroit before appearing at major Canadian festivals.
SUNN O))) revealed dates for their massive festival performances and anticipated spring tour across the US in support of their latest album, Kannon. The drone metal band will appear on smoke-filled stages in Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne for their Australian tour before headlining in Tennessee’s Big Ears Festival.
After their Australian run, SUNN O))) will launch their tour through the southern US in April, hitting the Big Ears Fest on April 2nd to perform alongside Yo La Tengo, Sun Ra Arkestra, Andrew Bird, and Wolf Eyes. The Knoxville festival is followed by shows in Nashville, Athens, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Tampa. The band will also share their ultimate physical experience of sound in Levitation 2016, alongside Brian Wilson, Animal Collective, The Black Angels, Boris, Sleep, and the Thurston Moore Group.

After an intensive 27-year career, the experimental band, SUNN O))) is renowned for unleashing unparalleled, immersive atmospheres of power. Experimental guitarist Stephen O’Malley of SUNN O))) recently released limited double LP of live recordings reminiscent of the collaborative 2014 release with Norwegian genre-benders Ulve.
