WATCH: The Dead Weather Release New Video For “Impossible Winner”

Amazing everyone with their 2015 return debut album Dodge and Burn, members of The Dead Weather – Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence have been continuously impressing fans with every bit of output they have for us. Learn more about this here, and be sure to check out their first performance back, here!

The band came together back in 2008 at the end of The Raconteurs‘ tour in the U.S. when Jack White aquired a bout with bronchitis and was no longer able to sing several of his songs. The band decided to have Mosshart step in for the time being to fill in the places that White could not contribute. The sound of her voice made the chemistry of the song undiniably better and got the band to thinking. White, Laurence, Mosshart and White decided to try recording a cover of Gary Numan’s “Are Friends Electric?” and loved it so much they decided to form a band. They began recording their first full album in White’s Third Man Studio located in Nasheville TN. It took them only a matter of weeks to finish the album and they were ready to perform their first show for a group of 150 friends at Third Mans offices said allmusic.

Most recently, The Dead Weather put out a music video for their song Impossible Winner, the second video from the album. The first music video was for their single’s I Feel Love (Every Million Miles). It is being nominated for the 58th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. The award will go to directors Ian Schwartz & Cooper Roberts and video producers Candice Dragonas & Nathan Scherrer, along with The Dead Weather themselves.

The Impossible Winner video definitely will spark interest in most fans as the creative and chilling theme captivates viewers throughout every part of the video.  With a similarity to Tim Burton characters, but in real life, many a characters face is contorted in a nightmare kind of way and mysterious, unexplainable things happen to limbs and various body parts. To say the least it is probably not the #1 video for those who might consider themselves to be the faint of heart.

Dodge and Burn was #1 on Billboard‘s “independent Albums” chart and #2 on both the “Alternative Albums” and “Rock Albums” rankings.
