Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth unleashed the dates for their intensive tour across North America, which launches on April 7th and runs until May 21st. The Nordic metal kings are supported by Entombed A.D. and the upstarting extreme metal band Exmortus.

The tour will follow the highly anticipated release of Amon Amarth’s tenth studio album, Jomsviking. As the band’s first concept record, the upcoming release is their most ambitious project to date and will be unveiled on March 25th. Jomsviking fuses the Swedes’ iconic anthemic metal style with tragic tales of love and revenge to express an epic original story of the Jomsviking, a legendary order of mercenary Vikings.
The Jomsvikings were a shadowy and legendary sect of Viking mercenaries, as shrouded in myth now as they were when they fought across Europe and the Middle East. Ruthless and deadly warriors who fought for the highest bidder, their code was simple: Show no fear. Never retreat. Defend your brothers, and when called upon, avenge their deaths.

Amon Amarth released powerful music video for the album’s brutal first single, “First Kill.”  The cinematic video was produced by Grupa 13, directed by Darek Szermanowicz, and filmed in Gohrweide, Germany and Warsaw, Poland.
