Iggy Pop @ the Masonic 3/31

Sixteen albums and another due March 18th?! That’s what happens when James Osterberg, Jr., known by his stage name Iggy Pop, has been making music in his solo career since the 1970’s and is still rockin’. Iggy Pop is a musician and actor known for his crazy stage antics. He is most well-known as the lead vocalist of the Stooges who made it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.  Post Pop Depression, Iggy Pop’s new record, features Josh Homme and Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age and Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys. Paste Magazine says, “Iggy in finer form than ever and Homme’s distinctive driving guitar melodies firmly anchoring his florid vocals. Basically: it’s shit hot stuff and this album cannot come soon enough.”

Listen below to their new single Gardenia released January 21st. They debuted the song live on The Late Show with Steven Colbert. Pre-order the album now and instantly receive Gardenia and Break Into Your Heart. Though the show is a little pricey, you can’t miss out because this is the only time Iggy Pop, Josh Homme, Dean Fertita, and Matt Helders will play together under the same roof.
