Moonstone Music Festival announced its new lineup today, featuring legends that hail from every avenue of rock such as KISS, Def Leppard, AWOLNATION, Surfer Blood and about 50 other rock bands from around the globe. The inaugural festival will take place in Orlando, Florida over the course of two days from April 30 to May 1. For those who have never heard of Moonstone Music Festival and didn’t anticipate taking this $230 chunk from your festival fund, maybe it’s time to sell off your Coachella tickets.
Along with music, the outdoor festival will have a comedic lineup with standup performers Jim Florentine, Jim Norton, Judah Friedlander and others. The Early Bird tickets are sold out, but regular admission tickets are still on sale and going fast — a tempting purchase for anyone staring at their VISAs and about to punch in the numbers to go see Best Coast live. For those without monetary concerns, consider the Almost Famous VIP pass for a modest price of $16,500. It includes four all-access festival passes, a private luxury tour bus in the artist compound (along with a personal driver), access to the Mainstage Private Viewing Deck so you can watch the show like some French aristocrat at an Opera, meals throughout the weekend, airport transportation, and — last but not least — a meet and greet with the headline of the Almost Famous VIP’s choice. Or, if you’re under 10, you can just get in for free.
Tickets are on sale on the Moonstone website. In anticipation of the event, Moonstone Festival has been posting songs of the day on their Facebook page, so even if you can’t make it to the Sunshine State, you can at least enjoy some tunes that will be played there.
