John Carpenter Announces New Album Lost Themes II For April 2016 Release And Announces First Ever Live Shows

Horror film legend John Carpenter released his debut non-soundtrack LP, Lost Themes, last year. Today, he’s announced his next album: Lost Themes II, set to be released on April 15.

The new album is a collaboration between Carpenter, his son Cody Carpenter, and his godson Daniel Davies. While the previous album, Lost Themes, was recorded over several years and long distances, they recorded the new one together in the same city.

Carpenter has directed and composed films such as, Halloween, Escape from New York, and Assault on Precint 13. 

Rolling Stone reports that, Carpenter also announced his first live dates, where he will be performing with Cody and Davies. So far, he’s planned a number of festival appearances in Europe, but he will announce U.S. dates in the near future.
