Charleston, South Carolina is going to be pretty swinging for the two day Southern Ground Music & Food Festival as it celebrates its fifth year in the Charleston area. The festival will take place at the MUSC Health Stadium, previously known as the Blackbaud Stadium between the dates of April 16 and April 17.
Southern Ground Music and Food has been held in Charleston since 2011 at Daniel Island in Charleston. It was used to combine the authentic southern food with southern sound music. Each night towards the end of the event, the Zac Brown Band will wrap up the day with special guests to join in the evening performance. But each time they held it in the fall, ironically, football season was at the same time so the festival has been moved to the spring of each year so that festival goers can enjoy some good food and music. This year’s spring lineup includes Marshall Tucker Band, Kacey Musgraves, as well as some performances from members of the Zac Brown Band: Coy Bowles & the Fellowship, Clay Cook, and John Driskell Hopkins.
Tickets for the festival can be located on the Southern Ground Music and Food website or the AXS website. The tickets have been on sale since December of last year. VIP options are still open but the Front Porch Stage Box is sold out. Tickets for a two day package are available for $189 and a four day package is available for $666.
