Unknown Mortal Orchestra is extending its “Multi-Love” tour. According to Pitchfork, the New Zealand band has added stops across the U.S. throughout the next 2 months. The group will begin in Vancouver, CA before traversing into the states. The U.S. tour will culminate with highly-anticipated set at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, CA.
Since releasing Multi-Love last May, UMO has achieved growing success with it’s tentatively polyamorous title track and groovy follow-up single “Can’t Keep Checking My Phone.” The latter has been remixed into glitch-and-jitters arrangement by SILICON, aka frontman Ruban Nielson’s brother Kody. The Nielson brothers have a long history of collaborating together that spans back to the formation of experimental rock band Mint Chicks. Check out their latest experiment and all its anxious glory below.
The global jaunt is not Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s first. The group has toured in support of its self-titled debut album in 2011, follow up II in 2013, and Multi-Love before it’s May 2015 release. They plan to hit the U.S. a second time this spring and Europe this summer.
