This summer, American rock bands Brand New and Modest Mouse will be touring together. The tour will begin in Utah this June including stops at Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Forum, and the Greek Theater. The tour will finish at the end of July in Seattle. The tour will be unique as both bands are co-headlining, with no opening acts. This is also the first time the two bands have ever toured together.
Since 2000, Brand New has been creating rock music along with four studio albums. After releasing their most recent album Daisy, rumors arose that it would be the band’s last full-length album. However, the band quenched these rumors and mentioned that they were working on a different sound. In April of last year, the band released a new song called “Mene”, their first new track in six years. The band had been debuting the song at several live performances prior.
Modest Mouse have been performing since 1992 and have released six studio albums in their career so far. After an eight year break without any new studio albums, the band released their sixth album Strangers To Ourselves along with their popular single “Lampshades On Fire.” In February of last year, the band released the song “The Best Room” from their well-received album. The song has heavy topic, talking about the degradation of Western Civilization. Later that July, Modest Mouse released the video for “The Ground Walks, With Time In A Box” to pay homage to the TV show Game of Thrones. The song is their third single from their album Strangers To Ourselves.
