Field Day Announces 2016 Lineup Featuring PJ Harvey, Deerhunter And Cass McCombs

The annual music festival Field Day has revealed its first headline act for 2016’s urban event. According to Festival Mag, proficient musician and singer-songwriter PJ Harvey will exclusively perform in London for the first time since 2011’s show at Royal Albert Hall. The second wave of cutting-edge artists features John Grant, Goat, Deerhunter, and Skepta in its stellar lineup.

Since 2007, Field Day has stirred high anticipation for the two-day outdoor festival that unleashes yearly in Victoria Park in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Since its inception, the uniquely diverse event have sold out every year.

It’s tenth anniversary edition champions the appearance of Nottingham punks Sleaford Mods, neo-psychedelic rockers The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Caribou’s techno alter ego Daphni, and the alternative R&B queen Kelela. Field Day also features sack races, a tug of war, and other nostalgic but lively events.

Field Day kicks off on Saturday, June 11th and continues into Sunday, June 12th. With a spirited atmosphere and acclaimed reputation, tickets for the 2016 festival are already disappearing.

UPDATE (1/22/2016): Field Day announces new additions to Saturday line-up, including Bicep Live, Frisco, Gillbanks, Girl Band, Gold Panda, Jackmaster, Gerd Janson, Kelela, Little Simz, Mabel, Metz, Nao, Novelist, Plastician, Sleaford Mods, Slimzee, Tale of Us, The Black Madonna, Wooden Wisdom & DJ Fitz, and Yeasayer.
