Killing Joke released their video for the single “Euphoria” following the postponement of their Winter 2016 tour dates. The single comes from the Pylon album that was released last year. More Killing Joke news will be coming soon.
“Euphoria” follows the performance of Killing Joke live with some animations that make it crazy and as violent as one would expect. The single is like the center of the mosh pit, ready to be riled up with the music that people just start punching and hitting each other like crazy. The music and the band continue to do an outstanding job and following the classic notion post-punk music bands. The album, Pylon, was the third album written by the original lineup, but the fifteenth album the band Killing Joke has produced. The lyrics also provide a dark concept to the song as if it was a beckoning call to those who dared to listen to it. Lines such as “I can hear the magpies laugh/ I can’t shake this melancholy” make it sound as if the person is to hide from something more sinister until the clouds provide the joyous alleluia to their cries.
