Swedish, indie-pop group Miike Snow hasn’t been in the Bay Area for four, long years.You may have heard their popular hits such as Animal and Black and Blue. Watch and listen below to their new single titled Heart Is Full lead by, no, not Miike Snow, but Andrew Wyatt. The band samples a funky track Marlena Shaw’s Waiting For Charlie To Come Home and takes on a very different sound from their older work. I was confused for a second if I was actually listening to Miike Snow. Miike Snow has clearly has taken a turn for the electronic/dance vibes for their new record iii releasing in March of this year.
Miike Snow has a special place in my heart. I first discovered them in 2010 when I was just 14 years old and instantly fell in love. I’m thrilled that they’re finally back touring after four years of creating their new album and I hope you are too. Bloodshy & Avant, a songwriting and production duo, who produced for Britney Spears, Madonna, and Katy Perry consists of 2/3rds of Miike Snow. While working on writing a Britney Spears album, they met Andrew Wyatt. From there, the fabulous Miike Snow was born.
Unfortunately, tickets for both nights sold out in less than four days. They’re kind of a big deal just in case you didn’t know already. Better start looking on StubHub for tickets to this first Bay Area show in over four years. You won’t want to miss out on Miike Snow’s epic performance that will keep you dancing all night long.
