Guns N’ Roses Asks Seven Figures Per Show On Upcoming Tour

Guns N’ Roses has announced their reunion, and it is a reunion of priority for rock fans everywhere. What may be even more shocking than the coming together of several original members of one the most influencial rock bands ever, are the extravagant ticket prices for the momentous reconciliation tour.

According to Stereogum, reports found on Billboard suggest that Guns N’ Roses are looking to make $3 million per show on their upcoming tour. The breakdown of these figures leaves tickets averaging at $250-$275 (for premium seats). With the influction of everything concerning concerts today (food, drinks, merchandise, tickets), these numbers while high, are fairly common for big name acts, especially GNR because it is a coming together of a band that hasn’t stepped foot on a stage with this lineup in many, many years.

Guns N’ Roses let it be known in December that they would be signing on to do Coachella, and then the talk about a reunion tour started spreading like wildfire. Now it has been confirmed that there will indeed be a tour. This is a huge dealing considering original bandmates Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan are all signed on for the tour.

Guns N’ Roses are a staple when it comes to rock ‘n’ roll. Their music, style and influence throughout the 80’s and early 90’s has solidified the bands importance in pop-culture and most importantly, the music world. This reunion tour is pretty much one of biblical porportions for fans of the group, and something tells me that GNR is going to have no problem selling out every show on this tour. Now what is to be expected of the guys who pretty much owned ungovernable 80s rock reuniting onstage for their first tour in years and years? We will just have to wait and see.

UPDATED (02/02/16): According to Consequence Of Sound, The band has announced several new shows including April 19, at Foro Sol in Mexico City, MX, and April 8-9 in Las Vegas, NV at the T-Mobile Arena.
