Original Life Of Agony Lineup To Release New Album In 2016

Brooklyn alt-metal outfit, Life Of Agony just unmasked plans to drop their first record in 11-years.  Now officially signed to a worldwide deal with Napalm Records, the entire original crew from 1993’s River Runs Red will take a stab at recording their fifth studio-album, aptly titled: A Place Where There’s No More Pain and reveal their latest-effort later this year.

Originally-formed during the summer of 1989, vocalist Keith Caputo, Bassist Alan Robert, and guitarist Joey Z first experimented with an entire onslaught of gifted-drummers before settling on the chops of Type O Negative’s prolific: Sal Abruscato.  After scores of success in touring and recording over the years, singer Keith Caputo (who is now known as Mina Caputo, due to a gender transition) initially left the band in 1997, citing creative differences.  Caputo parting-ways lead to Life Of Agony’s inevitable break-up.

In January 2003, the band’s original lineup reunited for two sold-out shows resulting in a CD/DVD of the event and eventually a stack of subsequent shows and appearances in European festival-circuits.  On March 22, 2014, Life Of Agony announced their active involvement once again as a metal tour-de-force via their website and played their first show since Caputo’s transition on August 8th at the Alcatraz hard Rock & Metal Festival in Kortrijk, Belgium.

Bassist Alan Robert details his motivation for making music with Life Of Agony:

“I think our fans know that our music comes from a very real place of suffering, from all of us in the band.  Many of our fans have told us over the years that sharing  our personal struggles has been cathartic for them in healing the pain in their own lives.  That uplifting energy we share at the shows, gives us hope that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.  And for us and hopefully our fans, that short time when we’re all together is a place where there’s no more pain.”

Ceo of Napalm Records, Thomas Caser conveys his glee after recently signing the band:

“Life Of Agony is without a doubt one of the most exciting and energetic Rock bands of our times.  It is an honor to work with such talent.  We are excited to announce their signing to Napalm Records and release the band’s first album after over a decade.”
